Lean Coal

  • Lean coal grade TO («skinny nut»), fraction 13-50 mm
  • Lean coal grade TPK («skinny slab large»), fraction 50-300 mm
  • Lean coal brand TOMSSh («skinny nut, small seed, hull»), fraction 0-50 mm

T-grade coal belongs to the category of energy lean coals.

Thus, lean coal differs from other types in its physical and chemical properties:

  • low flammability;
  • long burning;
  • more intense heat generation;
  • low volatile content (2-17%) and almost complete absence of liquids;
  • combustion products; 82-98% content of solid combustion products.

Lean coal is not suitable for fast-burning furnaces, but is in high demand in the fuel and energy and transport sectors, for individual heating and small boiler houses, and as a carbon-containing agent in metallurgy and other manufacturing industries.
